Road Maintenance

Temporary Road Closure South Bowood. It will come into operation on 17 August 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 August 2026.

Temporary Road Closure of C96, Netherbury. It will come into operation between 0930 and 1530 on 01 September 2026 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 01 September 2026.

Temporary Road Closure of C18, Dottery. It will come into operation on 03 September 2026 and remain in force for five days, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 04 September 2026.

Police and Crime Commissioner

The parish council wrote to the Police and Crime Commissioner for Dorset in September 2025 to raise concerns about visible policing and local engagement resulting in a number of thefts in the parish. Please see the reply letter received from the Police and Crime Commissioner.

Netherbury cum Salway Ash War Memorial

Netherbury Parish Council has recently commissioned the restoration of the Netherbury cum Salway Ash War Memorial.

The war memorial was erected c1920 to commemorate twenty five residents of Netherbury Parish who died as a result of the conflict in the First World War. A further inscription was added following the Second World War to commemorate five residents who lost their lives.

Fingerpost Project

Netherbury Parish Council has been involved in the restoration of the white fingerpost signs in conjunction with Dorset's AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) team which advises on how to restore the signs to their former glory. The physical work has been done by villagers and councillors.
